with Rick Kelm,
Ripon HS (WI) Head Football Coach;
2005 & 2003 Wisconsin Class 4 State Champions,
2003 Wisconsin High School Coach of the Year

Special teams play has been a key to Ripon High Schools 38-2 record over the past three seasons. Coach Kelm believes that special teams must receive as much emphasis in practice and planning as offense and defense. Being aggressive and calculated make this special teams' package effective. Ten unique situations make up this special teams package. These areas include kick off, onside kick, kick off return, hands team, punt, punt fake, punt block, punt return, extra point/field goal and fake extra point/field goal. The punt game, onside package, punt block systems make it difficult for the opponent to prepare for Ripon. In all, 20% of all plays in a high school game are special team situations. This DVD is a complete presentation on special teams at the high school level and has been a crucial part of the consistent success at Ripon High School.

with Todd Norman, M.S. Kinesiology;
founder The Cutting Edge - Athletic Performance Enhancement;
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA)

Todd Norman's workout for quarterbacks, done at least six weeks before training camp, will maximize the quarterback's chances for on-field success. Norman begins the quarterback workout with four key rotator cuff training exercises utilizing the aid of a resistance band for developing shoulder strength and endurance. This work must be done frequently to prepare the quarterback's arm for the wear and tear of throwing. Next, he introduces medicine ball drills for quarterbacks to develop hand speed, rotational power, and throwing strength. To enhance foot speed and quickness, on-field quarterback-specific cone drills are set up and demonstrated. All 14 quarterback drills in this segment develop skilled coordination and change of direction. Small hurdles and resistance bands are also used in various drills. He then includes more than 25 quarterback-specific resisted and assisted drills to maximize drop-back speed and movement in and out of the pocket. Norman closes with his unique Complex Conditioning series for quarterbacks and six-week program design and implementation plan. If done prior to training camp, your quarterbacks will arrive with superior conditioning and greatly enhanced skills.
